Kerry Lenahan, Board Vice President

 Kerry joined the Academy of Hope board of directors in 2007. She helps companies and non-profits realize their missions by helping them communicate their message effectively and connect with others.  Kerry has 10+ years of experience in marketing and communications strategy, online marketing, market research and message development. Her work has helped to further the goals of all types of organizations from local nonprofits to major consumer brands. Kerry’s career began in national politics where she advised communications strategy and conducted research that lead to successful outcomes for more than a dozen national political candidates and public policy initiatives. 

A life-long athlete, Kerry currently competes in triathlon and teaches spinning and Pilates with a focus on strengthening and injury prevention for her clients.

Kerry holds an MS in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University. Originally from Connecticut, she has also lived in Chicago; Quito, Ecuador, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. She is passionate about education, the arts and environmental issues and has worked with organizations in these communities to improve access to education and protect the environment.
