Academy of Hope Programs & Services

Classes:

At Academy of Hope, we help you study and prepare for the GED exam or reach other educational goals that are important to you.

Each week, more than 40 classes in all five subjects found on the GED (math, writing, science, social studies, and literature) are offered to our adult learners. And, our classes also incorporate important life skills that will help you in your day-to-day life.

We also offer special computer classes for our GED students, so they can acquire important computer skills.

Class Times:

Morning: Monday - Thursday, 9 AM - 12:15 PM
Afternoon: Monday - Thursday, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM
Evening: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM.

Tutoring:

At times, a student's schedule or learning needs are best served by working with a tutor. One-on-one tutoring is available for students who read below a sixth grade level, who require more individualized instruction, or whose schedules don't fit into our class times. Students preparing for special tests such as a professional certification program exam can also work with a tutor.
Tutoring Schedule:

Students who are matched with a tutor meet at times convenient to them. We also offer a tutoring session, which is open to all students, on Fridays from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS:

Q: Can I come to classes sometimes in the morning and sometimes in the evening?

A: While it is best to attend classes entirely in the morning, afternoon, or evening, we will try to accommodate a student who has scheduling conflicts. You may be able to attend writing in the morning and math in the evening, for example. Or, you may attend classes during the day and be assigned a tutor for evening instruction. We will work with you to provide you with the best learning opportunity possible.

Q: Can I just come to computer classes and not attend GED classes?

A: Yes. But, you will need to register for computer classes separately. For more information on our computer program, click here
